Week 9 Review: Heart of Iron

From Goodreads:
An action-packed tale full of romance, royalty, and adventure, inspired by the story of Anastasia. Perfect for fans of Six of Crows, Cinder, and the cult classic television show Firefly.

Seventeen-year-old Ana is a scoundrel by nurture and an outlaw by nature. Found as a child drifting through space with a sentient android called D09, Ana was saved by a fearsome space captain and the grizzled crew she now calls family. But D09—one of the last remaining illegal Metals—has been glitching, and Ana will stop at nothing to find a way to fix him.

Ana's desperate effort to save D09 leads her on a quest to steal the coordinates to a lost ship that could offer all the answers. But at the last moment, a spoiled Ironblood boy beats Ana to her prize. He has his own reasons for taking the coordinates, and he doesn't care what he'll sacrifice to keep them.

When everything goes wrong, she and the Ironblood end up as fugitives on the run. Now their entire kingdom is after them—and the coordinates—and not everyone wants them captured alive.

What they find in a lost corner of the universe will change all their lives—and unearth dangerous secrets. But when a darkness from Ana's past returns, she must face an impossible choice: does she protect a kingdom that wants her dead or save the Metal boy she loves?

My Review:
This book was so epic! I loved everything from the story, the writing, the characters, the beautiful cover, just everything about it was so great! Firefly is a tv show that I really enjoyed, and Anastasia is one of my favourite animated movies (does it count as Disney when Disney only just bought it?) so having the two concepts in this book, I was really excited to read it!

I loved how the story was told! We were in 4 people's heads, and yeah, the pairings were a bit unexpected! Well, besides the synopsis saying the metal boy that she loves. So we had two couples, and seeing from all of their perspectives, we had a very nice view of all the action!

The way that metals were treated and viewed was just horrible! And given that Dee was her best friend, Ana wasn't happy about that to say the least. But with the mystery of what happened to her colliding with their past, yeah, that was just excellent! Made for a great part of the story!

That ending was just an evil cliffhanger! Which I guess I should've known, since it is a duology, I believe. Still, that Dee is under control of the hive, and with the rest of them on the run, I am very eager for the sequel!

This book was so fantastic, and I can't wait to read the sequel!
